Ofqual has published three new guides to give teachers, students and parents/carers a greater understanding of how to produce honest, authentic and correctly referenced work.

We have been providing resources, training, advice and guidance to the education sector since 2002 to help address growing concerns about plagiarism, whilst promoting appropriate use of electronic sources of information. We work with a wide range of partners including The Higher Education Academy, JCQ, JISC, Ofqual and all UK unitary awarding bodies, along with schools, colleges and universities.

ASKe Plagiarism Meeting, 4 June 2009.

PlagiarismAdvice.org recently presented at the third annual “Institutional Policies and Procedures for Dealing with Plagiarism” meeting on 4 June at Oxford Brookes University.

PlagiarismAdvice.org hosted a well-attended workshop session on “Integrating use of plagiarism detection software into institutional academic misconduct policies” which shared good practice and advice in this area drawn from a range of institutions.

The day itself provided a useful insight into research and approaches to addressing plagiarism within institutions, with wide-ranging and enlightening discussions. Slides and photographs from the event can be found on the ASKe CETL website.
